Technology Consultant (L1/L2 Support)

Summary

Technology Consultant is a L1/L2 Consultant with minimum 1.5 - 3 yrs of field experience. He should have good communication skills and knowledge of working on Systems and Networks. He should be efficient and effective in handling client calls and close them. The basic percentage of the knowledge base should be Systems (65%) and Network (35%).

Essential duties and Responsibilities

Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Primary Responsibilities:

Installation, Configuration, Support for Windows Operating System (Windows 2003/R2, Windows 2008/R2).
Installation, Configuration, Support for the following:
- Active Directory, DNS, ADC, DHCP, IIS, MSSQL, etc.
- Exchange 2003/2007
- Basic configuration of Network Switches, routers, modems, firewalls.
Installation, Configuration, Support for Server Virtualization (Vmware, Citrix, Hyper-V).
Taking L1/L2 Support Calls and closing the Calls.
Handling Server Issues/Calls
Handling Network Issues/Calls
Installation, Configuration, Support for Switches, Routers, Firewall.
Designing, Consulting & Validating the System Architecture.
Designing, Consulting & Validating the Network Architecture.
Designing, Consulting & Validating the Virtualization Architecture.
Closing calls in given escalation time period.
Supporting L1 calls.
Virtualization shall be an added bonus to the candidate prospects.

Qualifications : MCSE, CCNA, N+

Education and/or Experience : a. Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent

LANGUAGE SKILLS : English, Hindi, Marathi

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Begin a consultant by virtue; it is need by the person to be out traveling visiting client places. Traveling is an important aspect for this job profile. A consultant shall be spending most of his time at client place rather than working in office. At, office all the back-office kind of things are to be done such as Report Preparation, Discussions, Emails, Timesheets, documentation etc.
